Our topic this half term is called ''Who Helps us?"

We will be learning all about different jobs and the different people that help us. We will also look at seasonal changes that occur during the Winter. Each week we will base our learning around a different book.

w/c 05.02.24 This week we really enjoyed finding out about Chinese New Year. We had our own celebration, doing dragon dances to chinese music, animal races and trying chinese food.

W/C 29.01.24 This week we enjoyed reading the story of Zog and finding out what jobs doctors did. We learnt about the season winter and made bird feeders for our outdoor area.

W/C 22.01.24

This week we enjoyed the story detective dog and had a go at being detectives ourselves when Mr Slater had his chocolate biscuits stolen. We had fun playing the reading game pillow case pairs, we chose a word card and then tried to find that objects hidden in a pillow case.

This week we had a visit from the fire brigade and we looked around their fire engine. We even got to squirt the water hoses!

This week we read the book What jobs could you do? and wrote about what we would like to be when we grow up.
