Our topic this half-term is 'The Frozen World & Us!

We will learn about different climates and compare different countries. We will also look at celebrations such as Bonfire Night, Diwali and Christmas. Our learning will be based around a different book each week.

W/C 18/11/24 - Secrets of winter

This week we have had lots of fun in the snow!! We have looked at our story the secrets of winter - and then explored the snow for ourselves! Our nativity practise has turned up a notch and we are working so hard practising the songs and our lines to say in our production. 

W/C 11/11/24 - The Lost Narwhal 

This week we looked at the story The Lost Narwhal and began to talk about where the Narwhal lived and how that differed to where we live in Annesley. We also focused on spotting tricky words this week - the children are really getting the hang of this! 

W/C 4/11/24 - Mr Men Happy Diwali 

This week we looked at the Hindu festival 'Diwali'. We looked at how people celebrate Diwali and how they prepare for the celebrations. We also continued our number work on looking at the number '5'.
