Our topic for this half-term is called 'All about me!'

We will learn about our feelings and emotions, our families and friendships. Each week we will base our learning around a different book:

• Week 1 - Settling in
• Week 2 - The colour monster
• Week 3 - I am too absolutely small for school
• Week 4 - Elmer
• Week 5 - What makes me a me?
• Week 6 - Will you be my friend?

W/C - 30/9/24 - What makes me a me?

This week we discussed that everyone is different and discussed what makes us unique. We also learnt some new sounds 'm' and 'd' and started learning some tricky words! We looked at tricky words 'I' and 'the'. 

W/C - 23/9/24 - Elmer

This week we made our own Elmer's using Milk bottles! We also learnt some new sounds 'p' and 'n'. 

W/C - 16/9/24 - I am too absolutely small for school 

This week we have been talking about starting school and how we feel about our new routine. We talked about all the things we love about starting F2! A firm favourite was using the IWB!

W/C - 9/9/24 - The colour monster

This week we started our phonics work. The children listened carefully to the sounds and now know 's' and 'a'. We also looked at the colour monster story and began to talk about our feelings.

What a fantastic first week we had at school this week. All of the children settled into the classroom brilliantly and we are so proud of them!!
