Archie

Archie Person of the week

These children have impressed by using Archie Values.

Friday 6th September 2024: Jessica. It isn't always easy coming to a new school, but you have settled in wonderfully already, made friends and worked hard. Keep it up!

Friday 13th September 2024: Archie. Archie by name AND nature! You have shown resilience and strength to be in school after a hard period of your life during the summer. You have never complained, never let it stop you from working hard and continued to do well in and out of class!

Friday 20th September 2024: Eliza. You have worked extra hard at home, asking (and completing) extra work at home! You are sure to continue making progress if you keep this up!

Friday 27th September 2024: Lilijana. You brought a smile to everyone's faces this week with bespoke cards of lovely words and phrases for all the children in the class and for your class teacher. Such a wonderful surprise!

Friday 4th October 2024: Riley. You have strived hard to be better at writing parentheses this week, showing a good understanding of adding extra information to mail clauses. This hasn't always been easy for you; I have admired your persistent ability to be as good as you can be. Well done!

Friday 11th October 2024: Max. You have really impressed me this year with your ambition and resilience. You scored a wonderful hat-trick to win the football game this week for starters! Then, during the Harry Potter event at Ashfield, you really got stuck into all the activities. You danced, created spells and wands, held owls and even found time for a bit of Quidditch, all with a smile on your face. Well done!

Friday 8th November - Harper. Harper always tries hard in lessons, even when the going gets tough. However, in maths this week, you did a complete 360! Staring off with finding the maths questions impossible, you set your stall out, considered the meaning of the worded problem, understood it, had a go and then found the answer! Not only that, you then went on to help others who struggled. Super work!

Friday 15th November  - Eliza. This week, TWO members of staff feel that you deserve ARCHIE bear. Both I and another member of staff saw how you cared for and talked to another child who was deeply upset over something. Your kind and nurturing attitude helped calm the student down and this made them feel great again. You approached the situation with maturity beyond your years. Let's all be more like Eliza!

Friday 8th December - Jax. You are always a brilliantly hard worker, but this week you have really shone on all bases. Keep it up!

Friday 15th December - Darcey. Amazing concentration and work this week, completing your poetry and being an absolutely incredible ambassador for the school. Well done!

Friday 10th January - Jessica. You have had an incredible first week back! Your concentration levels are through the roof, you are so much more engaged in the learning and you are showing great improvements. Keep it up!

Friday 17th January - Jesse. You have been challenged a lot by me this week, and have risen to each of them! You are never one to shirk an answer and always try your hardest when having to think on your feet. These skills will hold you in great stead going forward. Well done!

Friday 24th January - Aamiya. I have wanted to put you forward for this for a while now and over the half-term I have seen a much more focussed, more curious and hard-working girl. You are really starting to believe that if you try your best, you can achieve, but also feel the pride of making progress. Please keep it up!

Friday 31st January - Bethany. Bethany can sometimes be overlooked, because she is constantly aiming to be the best she can be, but I wanted to mention her this week because of her ability to always move forward in her work whenever she gets knocked back through challenging tasks. She shows great resilience and she is reaping the benefits of this in her work. Keep it up!

Friday 7th February - Dylan. I have been impressed with Dylan this week, in particular his writing. He sometimes finds writing challenging and can find multiple instructions distracting, but this week he has focused brilliantly and published his work, written over many days, in a coherent style. Well done!
