Reading is very important in Year 2, as it impacts hugely on everything else we do within the classroom. We read regularly in the classroom, which a greater emphasis on reading comprehension.Please encourage you child to read regularly at home. Ask who, what, where, when and why questions about what they have read to make sure they are listening to their own reading. Recapping what they've read after several pages is a good habit to encourage too.  Please sign your child's diary and write in a small comment. Raffle tickets are awarded to children reading regularly at home. Each half term the raffle tickets will go into a draw and names picked out to win a book to keep.
