This term we will learn about our amazing human body in Science and Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole in our History lessons

We will look at sculpture in Art and we will look at structures in D.T.

Take a look at what we've been getting up to this term....... 

w/c 06.01.25 This week we had a go at sculpture. We learned skills like how to make a cylinder roll and inprinting. We used our skills to make a playdough animal.

w/c 13.01.25 - This week we had a maths challenge. We used combined three numbers to make 10 and the challenge was to see how many different ways we could find.

w/c 20.01.25 We have been learning facts about Florence Nightingale. We wrote sentences and used and to join two sentences together.

w/c 27.01.25 This week in English we have been learning about nouns and reminding ourselves what a verb is. 

W/C 03.05.25 We had our First Aid workshop and learnt how to apply a plaster, a cold pack and how to ring 999 for an ambulance. Then we had a go at the recovery position. It was lots of fun, and we learnt lots of important information.

W/C 24.02.25 To start off the new half term, we went to the church as part of our R.E. learning. We saw lots of the things we had been learning about such as the pews, the font and lecturn.

We have been learning about structures in D.T. We know what a structure is and learned about how to make a structure stable and how to join card together. We used our new knowledge to design and make a bed for Bear the cat. Our design brief was to make a bed for Bear the cat. It needed to be big enough to fit him on, it must have legs and it must be stable. We did a great job and had lots of fun. Some children weren't successful the first time around, but they showed great resilience and adapted their design until they made it stable.

w/c 24.03.25 This week we have been learning how to measure in maths. We have been measuring with objects such as paper clips and cubes. 

W/C 31.03.25 This term in music we have been learning to keep a beat. We used the drum sticks to keep the beat to a Minecraft song
