Our topic this half term is called 'People who help us'

We will be learning all about different jobs and the different people that help us. We will base our learning around a different book every 2 weeks.

Week 1 & 2 - A superhero like you by Dr Ranj

Week 3& 4- Zog  and the flying doctors by Julia Donaldson

Week 5&6 - Detective dog by Julia Donaldson

W/C 20/1/25 - Zog and the flying doctors

This week we have looked at the story Zog and the flying doctors! We discussed what might happen if we go to the doctors and what they do within their job. We have also been practising our tricky words this week and have been looking at the composition of 5. We know that 5 is made from 4 and 1 and 3 and 2. 

W/C 13/1/25 - A superhero like you

We continued to look at the story a superhero like you and thought about the different skills you would need to be a doctor, firefighter, police person and vet. We also did some super reading this week looking at if we have understood what we have read. 

W/C 6/1/25 - A superhero like you

The children had a fabulous start back to school and coped really well getting back into their routine! We began talking about different jobs and people who help us and started to think about what jobs we might want to do when we are a grown up! Watch this space - we have some future ballerina's, zoo keepers, helicopter pilots and vets on our hands!
