Design and Technology
D&T is a study of man-made objects/systems/environments for the purpose of solving particular human needs.
It involves 3 elements:
- Investigating and evaluating existing products
- Learning how things work.
- Learning to design and make functional products for particular purposes and users.
D&T at Annesley Primary School:
- It develops children's skills and knowledge in design, structures, mechanisms, electrical control and a range of materials, including food.
- Contribute to the creativity, culture, wealth and well-being of themselves, their community and their nation.
- Encourages managed risk taking which leads to more resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable children.
- Develops language, build teamwork and develop resilience.
