Take a look at what we've been getting up to this term.......

Please take a look at what we have planned for the children over the Autumn term. First, we will be looking at all sorts of environmental issues throughout different countries. We will also be taking a look at the Stone Age and  explore changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.  Our literacy focus will be Narrative writing to entertain, looking at the point of view from 'Om' the cave girl.  We will also look at non-chronological reports, focusing on the pupils own Stone Age creature.   We will then look at written instructions - How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth. 

In numeracy, we will be focusing on place value, addition and subtraction, division and multiplication.   

In Science, we will have a look at the different parts of a flowering plant.  The requirements a plant needs to grow and how water is transported to plants.  We will then look at rocks - the different rock groups.  How fossils are formed and how soils are made.
